Cladding Lines for Roofing, Purlins, and Composite Panels

Bulldog UK provides custom-built Cladding Lines designed for reliable, high-quality production of metal panels. Based on a standard range of components, each line is tailored to suit the customer’s application. Machines are available with integrated pneumatic cut-off shears, while some are dedicated to a single profile for simplicity. Tool change or multi-change versions can also be supplied on request.

Full Sheet Forming Capabilities

These systems are suitable for forming and folding various panel types including steel, galvanised, aluminium, and plastic-coated materials. They are widely used across the roofing, composite panel, purlin, and building product industries. Bulldog UK can deliver both single and dual-level roll forming lines, depending on the required output and profile shape. For example, one installation in Hereford, UK, includes a dual-level line with corrugated profile on the top tier and liner profile on the lower level, as well as a dedicated line for 1000 mm wide box cover profile (trapezoidal).

Precision-Engineered Design

Each cladding machine is built around a strong hollow box section steel frame and designed to meet high manufacturing standards. The power units are fully contained, and the drive system typically includes a 22 kW motor through a gearbox driving the bottom shaft via chain transmission. Top shafts rotate freely. Tooling is made from hardened, ground, and polished steel for extended service life.

Flexible Options and Standard Features

Bulldog cladding rollformers can include entry guide tables, edge trim slitters, exit conveyors, automatic stackers, tight tolerance forming, and electronic control systems. Machines can be adapted for standard or high-speed production. Additional components include uncoilers, adjustable entry guides, stop-to-cut shears, and up to 12–18 forming stands depending on the profile.

Designed for the Flashing and Roofing Industry

These machines are widely used in the UK flashing sector and have been specifically engineered to meet the needs of long-length steel processing. They can be supplied with both manual or powered slitting attachments, with widths ranging from 1.2 to 3 metres. An integrated measuring system avoids the need for separate measuring gauges, streamlining production even further.
