In one example, the unit is incorporated into a fence pail production line. It’s built to punch round holes at intermittent centres, along with various notch shapes in 3 mm thick materials. The dies are fully interchangeable to suit different production needs. This compact system includes built-in length detection and a measuring system to support precise results.
Efficient and Accurate Output
A sample finish shows a fence pail cut from 3 mm sheet metal, demonstrating the machine's ability to provide fast, reliable, and efficient production. These machines support both round hole punching and customised notching in a streamlined process.
Another example shows a similar setup used on wide coil, where slide notches are punched into panel trays. The design is adaptable for different shapes and spacing, offering both flexibility and accuracy.
CNC-Controlled Bridge Tool
A further illustrated system shows a multiple head version with a CNC bridge tool. This setup includes:
- Two notching heads
- Guillotine shear
- X and Y movement adjustment
- Powered lead screws with encoded axis length control
Each of these is controlled directly from the CNC system. The bridge tool can hold different piercing and notching heads, each mounted individually. These tools can be positioned anywhere within the sheet, making the setup adaptable for complex layouts and repeatable accuracy.
