Bulldog UK supplies Slitting Lines built for accuracy, reliability, and efficient handling of metal coils. These systems are ideal for both the profiles industry and service centres, helping businesses cut wide coils into narrow, uniform strips with clean edges and minimal waste.

Sizes and Coil Capacity

Our Slitting Lines are available in widths of 1000 mm, 1250 mm, and 1500 mm. They’re suitable for materials up to 1 mm or 1.2 mm thick, depending on the setup. Each machine can be supplied with a 3-tonne or 5-tonne decoiler, making them suitable for different coil sizes and workloads.

Heavy-Duty Slitting Models

For more demanding applications, Bulldog UK offers two high-capacity models. The STS 1550/3 handles material from 0.3 mm to 3 mm, with processing speeds up to 150 metres per minute and coil weights up to 25 tonnes. The STS 1550/4 is designed for thicker material from 0.5 mm to 4 mm, with the same speed and coil handling capacity.

Smooth and Accurate Operation

Each slitting line includes features that support efficient, precise, and safe material handling. These include a slitting shear with cam-controlled blade movement, hydraulic blade holders, and integrated scrap handling systems. Material is guided through telescopic tables, pinch rolls, and a five-roll straightener before being trimmed by a crop shear.

Safe Handling and Surface Protection

To help with material flow, a hydraulic table allows easy loop formation and scrap removal. Tension control is supported with felt tension pads or optional braking and deflector rolls. For sensitive materials, non-contact movement of separator discs protects the surface during slitting. Once processed, slit coils are managed with expulsion units, coilcars, turnstiles, and packaging lines.
